Because of what Christ has done we can have that assurance of salvation as long as we continue to walk in obedience to the Word of God, and take heed to the guidance and the convictions of the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes we may mess up and may even fall into sin, but this does not mean your salvation is over
If we sin we have an advocate with the Father.
1John 2:1
We must practice righteousness and kill the old nature of habitual sin, there is a process of dying to the flesh, sometimes we get to that place where we have overcome a weakness we were struggling with, only to find ourselves struggling again with that same fleshly weakness, but as long as we don’t give up but keep surrendering every weakness to the Lord and keep meditating on His Word we will be strengthened to put those areas of weakness under our feet, and every time they try to raise their head we will be quick to bring them under subjection.
Do not let the old nature have dominion over you, because it was crucified when we came to Christ.
Romans 6:6
Romans 6:1
Romans 6:14
Romans 6:22-23
We have the assurance of salvation and eternal life if we diligently take heed to the Word of God. The Word of God says we are passed from death unto life.
John 5:24, John 5:25
John 5:28-29
As we continue living righteously in accordance to God’s Word we are assured of salvation and know that we will not be judged and condemned with the world of unregenerate humanity who have rejected the sacrifice of Christ and have rejected him as Lord. Hebrews 10:22
