Let’s look at what the Bible says about the creation of man to get an understanding why man failed to keep the commandment of God.Genesis 1: 26
God created man Genesis 1:27-29, Genesis 1:30-31,
When God created Adam and Eve he created them perfect and created a perfect environment for them to live in. They could eat from the fruit trees in the garden and also the tree of life so they would live forever. God gave them a specific command not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9, Genesis 2:15-17
Adam and eve fail to keep God’s command as they were tricked by the devil through a serpent. Genesis 3:1-3, Genesis 3:4-6
From the point, Adam and Eve disobeyed the command of God the whole of humanity, after they started to multiply inherited the fallen sinful nature. Romans 3:23. Hence the reason why Jesus was sent as our redeemer. Titus 2:11-13, Titus 2:14
No one can say they have no sin, because we all sin in one way or another, but we are justified when we accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and begin to live in obedience to the Word of God. Romans 5: 18, 1 Peter 3:18
Most of humanity are in denial of sin and refuse to take responsibility for their sins, so they reject the sacrifice and the work of Christ to redeem humanity from their sins.
The word of God tells us that narrow is the road that leads to life, but few there be that find it, and broad is the road that leads to destruction, but many there be that go in that way. Matthew 7:13-14
The time will come when every man will be judged for their sins and man will have no excuse, because God has made every provision available for us to have our sins forgiven.
If we reject God’s provision for salvation, there is nothing left for our sins to be forgiven, so there is only one end that unregenerate humanity can expect, the condemnation of hell. Hebrews 10: 26-27
God has spoken and his Word is sealed, even so Amen. Jesus is coming back soon and we must be ready: Revelation 1:7
Let us not be like the five foolish virgin in: Matthew 25: 1-3, Matthew 25:4-6, Matthew 25:7-9, Matthew 25:10-12, Matthew 25:13.
The oil represents the Holy Spirit. We must be born again of the Holy Spirit. John 3:3.
We must live our lives striving against temptation and sin to stand in righteousness before God. The Holy Spirit will help us, He will convict us when we are doing wrong, but it is up to us to respond in the right way and bring ourselves back in line with what is right and good in the sight of God. Ephesians 4:30
The Holy Spirit is imperative to our salvation. He is the one who seals us for salvation and marks us as belonging to God. Ephesians 1:14, Romans 8:11
Once we were dead in our trespasses and now we are made alive when the Holy Spirit who dwells within us who have repented of our sins and received Jesus Christ into our lives as Lord and saviour: Ephesians 2:1-3, Ephesians 2:4-6
To be able to live our lives as pleasing to God we must read and meditate on the Word of God and pray for wisdom, guidance and direction from the Holy Spirit, we must also fellowship with other believers and have a church to go to that is preaching and teaching the truth from the Word of God. Hebrews 10:25
Although we live in this world and will be in the company of unbelievers, we must not allow ourselves to be influenced to sin just to please those around who do not believe. Psalm 1:1-3.
