When we repent and come to Jesus Christ there has to be a change in our lifestyle, behaviour, attitude and a transformation in our character as we learn the ways of God and begin to grow to be more like Jesus Christ daily.
The Holy Spirit is the one who comes to help us when we become born again. John 3:5 KJV Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:6 KJV That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
There has to be a change in our lives. That change can come quickly or over a process of time, but it does take us making a conscious decision that we are going to live our lives as pleasing to God.
The first place to start is with the Word of God, because the Word of God let us know what is pleasing and acceptable to God. Romans 12:2 KJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
